Inukshuks are a popular choice among those who have little knowledge of Inuit art but also among Inuit art enthusiastists.

An Inukshuk is a structure made of stones piled on top of each other. They are used for navigation in the north, to mark sacred places and they also work like signposts to mark a hunting or fishing spot.

In Inuit tradition, it is forbidden to destroy an Inukshuk.

I love the caramel coloured stone of this Inukshuk and its square, rectangular and diamond shapes.
