Masterpiece Carving! Museum quality Sculpture!

Did you know the caribou is a species of deer?

In North America we call this animal a caribou.  In other parts of the world, this animal is called a reindeer.

A caribou can be quiet, shy and timid. It is one of the world's most graceful animals and the subject of many Inuit art pieces.

Our visual interest is piqued when we first see the majestic and intricate antlers of a Caribou.

The antlers are the jewelled crown of
 our tundra King.

This shy young Caribou engages us immediately.

I admire Ungaluq's tenacity and perseverance in crafting the many acute angles of this Caribou.

I love the essence of this piece because its composition flows effortlessly from head to tail revealing its serene and peaceful spirit.

This is a unique piece. I cannot recall seeing a juvenile caribou carving in the past.
