Masterpiece Carving! Rare Red Tongue!
Jimmy Iqaluq has been carving for over 50 years.
He is one of Canada's small group of Inuit Elite Master carvers!
We are honoured to present STORM.
Jimmy’s carvings stand out from the “crowd” and this is why.
First, the Signature Red eyes.
Jimmy gives Red eyes to almost all his pieces.
When you see a carving with protuberant red eyes, 99.9% of the time it has been carved by Jimmy.
Storm has been given the most spectacular RED tongue.
This is one of the most realistic tongues I have seen in an Inuit carving.
The two lower fangs are the finishing touch.
Then, the carving style is ALL Jimmy.
He straddles the division between Realism and Abstraction.
For instance, Storm's head is bigger in proportion than a real bear.
The details like the outline of the mouth and the eyes are more Abstract.

This “stepping outside the box” approach to carving is what makes Jimmy so appreciated by collectors.
Clients love to be surprised.
Storm is all bear, stretched out in stride so we can admire his army green colour and markings.
Storm has flawless black eyes.
Jimmy is so incredibly talented, there isn't anything he couldn't accomplish.
