Masterpiece Carving! Museum quality Sculpture!

I am always searching for the next Uriash Puqiqnak carving.

He is an international superstar because of his fascinating Grotesque style carvings.

Like Swashbuckler, Uriash sculptures sport crooked short teeth, wild wiry hair or beards, large often asymmetric eyes and unusual body proportions.

This could be a large body with extremely short legs.

Fallen in love yet.

Although this charming Inuk is described as a Shaman Hunter, his dapper dark green outfit and self assured stance reminds me of a fearless swashbuckler. . . swinging his knives with pomp and ceremony.

Gjoa Haven artists love to add humour to their stories so a fearless hunter would not be far from the truth.

Puqiqnak carvings are cherished by collectors who appreciate these unusual but charismatic creatures.

In years to come, I suspect that Uriash sculptures will be found in many Art Museums around the world.

You do NOT want to regret not having a Uriash sculpture in your collection.
