He raises his head and turns to the left, listening closely for another sound.
His eyes are wide open.
Midnight clearly sees objects at a distance, but has difficulty focusing on objects close up.
Also, Owls eyes are fixed in their sockets so they must rotate their heads up to 270 degrees to compensate.
Sam has closed Midnight's wings but they are positioned so the raptor can open them rapidly to prepare for an emergency lift off!
Midnight's black stone is flawless.
His finish is glossy and smooth.
