Quaraq’s bears' bodies are angular and  have distinctive chiseled facial features.

This spectacular Walking bear is a classic realistic sculpture. He is heavy in his hind end, his legs are muscular and strong and his neck is moderately long and tapers into a somewhat square skull and pointed nose.

Quaraq has depicted his bear striding in a quiet and deliberate manner.

I believe that the essential feature of  the Walking bear is the impression to the viewer that the bear is moving forward.

It can be tentative steps, plodding steps or great strides BUT the bear must be moving!
