Here is another "a picture is worth a thousand words" moment.

Have you ever seen an Inuit Owl carved using this colour of stone?!!

Me neither!

The rich plum colour is opulent and lush.

The inlaid eyes are striking against the plum colour.

The eyes become the focus of the carving, exactly like the eyes of a real owl.

I love how this owl is both rudimentary and urbane at the same time.

The lines are simple but this raptor is chunky and robust.

His round head, piercing eyes and flat beak reflect his wisdom and intelligence.

Ningeocheak is one of Coral Harbour's great carvers.

This bewitching sculpture would be a perfect Christmas gift for both an experienced collector or for a teenager or young adult who is passionate about animal conservation.
