Here is another extraordinary muskox horn sculpture.

Muskox horn is exotic smooth and silky.

Ookpik has used the entire half of a muskox headpiece (one of the horns) to sculpt this serene and graceful crane.

Hope is a large gorgeous bird who is sitting on the nest, incubating her egg.

The magic of this carving is that the features of the horn ( its curves and angles, the pastel pink hues and the scattered black areas) exactly conform into the shape and details of a crane!

As if it were meant to be.

Hope is regal. .

Ookpik's innovative spirit shines through in this eclectic carving.

I have never seen a stone nest with a Crane like this.
