Masterpiece Carving! Magnificent Movement!

Fish out of Water took my breath away!

Its grace, its artistry . . . I am still awestruck with its incredible beauty.

Toonoo Sharky's work often has that effect on me.

His mastery of stone is on a level that few artists can challenge.

Fish out of Water is a Two Way "Flying" Arctic Char who can be placed on one of his fins so that he is "standing" or can lie on his chin with his powerful tail high up in the air.

Each pose allows us to pore over every masterful detail of this exquisite piece.

The dark marble stone is so striking, it is hard not to keep staring at is many hues and tones.

And the mirror finish is flawless.  It allows the light to radiate from every nook and cranny of the piece.

The suggested movement of Fish out of Water is indescribable.

You have to see this carving in person to appreciate all its stunning nuances.

This is one of Toonoo's top pieces that we have ever seen at the gallery. And we have seen many Sharky sculptures.

Toonoo is a recognized around the world as one of Canada's major carving talents.

Fish out of Water is an outstanding example of Toonoo's  consummate technical skill, his flair and his sense of humour.
