This is an amazing piece by Joseph Suqslaq.

I am captivated by the manner in which Joseph carves Warrior Heart's large sharp teeth.

This is a ferocious mouth.  The teeth are distinct but they are carved as part of the upper and lower jaw. 

The stone is a field or sandstone.  It is a smooth finish but it is a matte finish which gives the bear hide a realistic look.

Joseph focusses our attention on the head and neck of this magnificent bear.

Warrior Heart is a beauty.
