** Paul Bruneau SIGNATURE Inukshuk carving

Note** Paul Bruneau is an Ojibway native and a member of the Mattagami First Nations Reserve. During the first two years of Covid, Paul took a break from carving. He is back and carving what I believe are the most fascinating Inukshuks in the world.

Masterpiece Carving! Glorious Colour!

From the moment that Paul first introduced me to his Inukshuks, I saw them as beings from another world.  Quite literally.

Sometimes, they appear to be slowly plodding across the earth's surface as if they are here for the first time.

For me, I believe it is the Inukshuk's thick exaggerated legs held in a tripod position that makes me think of them as part of an alien (but benevolent) army.

However you interpret these magnificent pieces, do you agree that Paul uses the most eye-popping colours?

And Bruneau polishes the stone to a mirror finish so smooth and bright that it seems to be perpetually gleaming like the sun.

This Inukshuk has one leg that is black in colour and fades into the other leg as a funky combination of mustard yellow, moss green and black.

Honey Mustard is a magnificent display of multiple yellow hues!

Perfect for those who love the brilliance of the sun.

The yellows are heightened by the use of the contrasting blacks and greens.

Honey Mustard is exemplary of Paul's keen eye for colour.

Take a long look at Honey Mustard.

Can you seem this carving on your harvest table?

Are you starting to understand why I think Paul's Inukshuks are the most magnificent in the world?

I have never seen Inuit Inukshuks as cosmopolitan and modern as these.
