Community: Gjoa Haven, NU
Material: Stone medium

Louie Uttaq has chosen an exquisite orange pekoe coloured stone for his charming standing bear.  The bear is standing with arms and legs spread wide apart, inviting all aggressors to “step up to the plate”.

I love the bear spirit.  It is courageous and awesome but at the same time comforting and warm.

A beautiful departure from the more traditional black, brown and white bears.
