This is a beautiful rendition of a Beluga Whale by Charlie Ookpik.

The sculpture is elevated on a "rock" so the viewer can admire the graceful lines of the whale.

The stone is flawless. I love the large tail but what is very special is the look on this whale's face.

She (?) has a high forehead and a demure beak of a mouth.  Her round white eyes are shy and modest.

Watching her swim away, you are happy that you had the chance to meet her.

This would be an extraordinary gift for a wedding, especially to someone who is new to Inuit art because this sculpture has such universal appeal.
