Magnificent Movement! Museum quality Sculpture!

I love Pitseolak Qimirpik's work.

I particularly love his muskox.

Spanish Moss Part II highlights Qimirpik's talent.

Pits is meticulous. He thrives on detail.

Case in point, observe the etched lines on the torso of the carving.

These lines represent the thick, long hair that covers most of the muskox's body.

Look at the facial features.

Spanish Moss Part II's nose is large with exaggerated nostils.

The mouth is slightly open and the compulsory horns are present.

The light green colour of the stone is highlighted with a darker green in the folds of the hair.  This creates depth and interest.

Pits is an internationally respected carver.

You understand why when you take a long look at Spanish Moss.

I am very partial to the Muskox.

But I do believe Spanish Moss is a special Qimirpik piece.
