** Jimmy Iqaluq SIGNATURE Loon carving

Masterpiece Carving! Museum quality Sculpture!

Over the past 14 years,  I have seen many Jimmy Iqaluq loons.

Quite frankly, I believe PreBoarding is one of his finest carvings.

It ticks all the boxes.

Precise and perfect. Inspirational.

Awe-inspiring.

This is a true heritage masterpiece.

Jimmy is a Canadian Inuit Master Carver which means that all of his work over his lifetime is sought after and cherished for its beauty and historical value.

One of Jimmy's loons is exhibited in the Museum of Canadian Civilization in Ottawa, On.

Jimmy Iqaluq is one of the few Master Carvers from the pioneering generation who is still actively carving.

But he could retire with a moment's notice.

When he retires, all of his precious loons will appreciate in value exponentially.  This is the principle of supply and demand which is so much a part of the art world..

I love how Jimmy has given this magnificent loon partially spread wings indicating that PreBoarding is preparing to fly.

Look at the feet protruding sideways acting as a rudder.

This posture also always Jimmy to "show off" his intricate and signature loon feathers.

Pre Boarding has all the mandatory features of a Jimmy loon: the round head, the red eyes and the stunning black argillite stone.

The red rock of the loon’s eyes are harvested by Jimmy from the seashore near his childhood home.

No other Inuit artist uses red stone like Jimmy.

The refined finish of the black argillite stone defines perfection.

Describing the beauty of this loon is like trying to explain why a beautiful woman is so beautiful.

There is nothing quite as elegant and serene as a Jimmy Iqaluq loon.
