Carved from a caribou antler, I appreciate that Gideon has elevated the figure so we can see the motion of this piece.
Nose down. Clowning Around is diving perhaps into water, while his human legs are posed preparing to get wet!
Is the frill around his neck flower petals or rays of the sun?
The detailed textured pattern on the carving's body is exceptionally skilled and beautiful.
