Derrald's Orcas are the most magnificant and realistic.
You would swear the carvings are the REAL thing!
At any moment WHIRLY BIRD could head straight to the surface and breech!
It is difficult for an Inuit artist to join a light colour with a dark colour.
Derrald is a master at joining the white and black patches of the Orca with strong unwavering lines.
The visual effect is stunning, almost like a black and white negative (for those of you who remember those days.)
This carving is a dynamo.
Taylor is a master at carving movement into his Orcas.
Whirly Bird is circling a large projection of rock below the ocean surface.
You can feel the Orca push the water away from his body so he can gain speed.
