MASTERPIECE CARVING

Will only ship to a Canadian address due to CITES export restrictions.

Manasie's raison d'etre and claim to fame is nonetheless, his bone contraptions. The faces he carves onto this 20 year old petrified whale bone is nothing short of spectacular. His infamy comes from his bone pieces. He is the most recognized Inuit artist in the world.

The detail in the face, the intensity of the expressions, the beautiful inlaid eyes make this one of the nicest bone carvings I have ever seen. This of course is of no surprise as it is from Manasie.

Manasie Akpaliapik has had many prestigious commissions, including presentations in the National Art Museum of Canada in Ottawa.

He resides in the exclusive circle of premier Master carvers shared only with Paul Maliki and Abraham Ruben.

This is your opportunity to cherish and possess a masterpiece by one of the top three Inuit artists in the world.

I am so honoured to be able to obtain these elusive carvings from Manasie for my gallery.
