Our Inuk is one happy man!
Atsanik has carved the widest grin for him.
His eyes are wide and perky as if he has been revitalized by his successful seal hunt.
He sits in his kayak with his large seal catch safely stored.
These scenes of daily Inuit life are wonderfully detailed.
In Sealed and Delivered, the harpoon is draped in yards of rope.
It starts at the tip, extends down to the handle and then lies in numerous coils on the deck of the kayak.
The kayak is bedecked with straps and accessories and the Inuk is dressed in his winter garb.
You can spend a lot of time discovering all the nooks and crannies of this charming vignette.
Seal and Delivered would be a cherished first carving for a loved one who may be just starting on a life long passion for collecting Inuit art.
