MUSEUM QUALITY PIECE

Jimmy Iqaluq has chosen a smooth and refined argelite stone to carve Green Walrus. This walrus is perfection!

The stone is opulent. The piercing red eyes of the creature draw our attention to the pristine details of the head; the bristling whiskers, the brilliant white tapered tusks, and the velvet like muzzle. Iqaluq is a Master carver. Details are his specialty.  The rippling hide and the individual claws on each foot bear witness to Jimmy’s meticulous style.

The claws and tusks are caribou antlers, and the whiskers are fishing line. The beautiful eyes are black stone and caribou antler.

Jimmy Iqaluq likes to experiment and indulges us by carving many different northern creatures.

Iqaluq’s carving are always in demand.  I am always excited to offer his unique sculptures to my clients.

This carving is signed on the bottom and comes with the Igloo Tag of authenticity.
