** Peter K. SIGNATURE Dog Sled carving

Epic Masterpiece Carving!

Peter K. is a young protege of Derrald Taylor.

I have shown several of his sculptures over the past two months and what we are seeing is the evolution of a masterful carver.

Each new piece is striking and fresh..Peter is an artist who has immediately created his unique "signature",

This means that when you see a piece of his work you know immediately it is a Peter K. sculpture.

Dogsled is the story of an Inuk and his dogs.

This is one of those "a picture is worth a thousand words" moments.

Exquisite, tender, charming, poignant are adjectives that come to mind.

Poignant because for the most part, skidoos have largely replaced the dog sled team.

Poignant because the carving depicts the dependency the Inuk has on his dogs and his dogs on the Inuk.

Poignant because the Inuk is carrying a rifle for his hunting. 100 years ago the man would be carrying clubs, knives and harpoons.

This carving has more than one story to tell.

What does it say to you?

For the dog lover in you: The Heart of a Wolf,  Lonesome Howl, and Masterpiece Wolf Heart.

This magical sculpture would be a perfect gift for the dog lover in your life.
