MUSEUM QUALITY PIECE!

This is a brilliantly polished and gleaming walrus by world famous Jimmy Iqlauq. It encompasses all the features that make a great carving. It is nothing short of another masterpiece from world famous Jimmy Iqaluq.

It is the definitive green stone that bring out the emotive and visage to its highest capacity of elegance and grace. The sparkle and shine in the stone, transcending over the delicate ripples of the skin highlight the piece to a masterful composition.

What captured my attention about this piece, were the ripples in the skin, and the white claws and hot red inlaid eyes that contrast remarkably well with the intense mirror like dark stone.

The flow and movement of this piece make it a one of a kind Jimmy Iqaluq sculpture.

Iqaluq likes to experiment and carve different subjects. This time, he created a fantastic walrus. As always with Jimmy's sculptures, every detail is a masterpiece. This walrus has claws carved out of caribou antlers, whiskers made out of fishing line and tusks made out of caribou antler.
