The face of TALES OF DAYS GONE BY is incredible in its design.
The cherubic countenance, the definition of the Inuk's hair, the deep-set eyes, and the voluptuous lips are magnificent.
God is in the details and the details of the face are awe-inspiring.
The cherubic countenance, the definition of the Inuk's hair, the deep set eyes, and the voluptuous lips are magnificent.
It would be so simple for the artist to present the piece with a more primitive face but instead, Dale has taken the extra time to carve a face that describes the emotions the Inuk is feeling as he bangs his drum.
The mirror finish of the stone and its embroidered hood, sleeves and cuffs again show the viewer how skilled and talented this artist is.
Drum dancers are a vital part of Inuit life, They are responsible for telling the stories of the "tribe" and are held in high esteem.
