Magnificent Carving! Fantastic Movement!
It took a miracle for Esau to create CANADA DAY.
Esau drove his skidoo for two days in order to get this brilliant white stone from the quarry (near Igloolik)
His dangerous journey was fraught with obstacles like blizzards, white outs, roaming polar bears and broken ice.
Esau is one of my favourite carvers.
He is talented and innovative.
He has MAGIC in his hands.
Strong and Athletic, Esau also "embroidered" Canada Day with etchings of Arctic animals and birds.
This is Esau's SIGNATURE.
The matte finish of the white store lends itself to these carved motifs.
The finish suggests a velvet cloth.
This beautiful Sculpture will be a shining treasure in your collection!
