Johnny Inukpuk is one of the MOST IMPORTANT Inuit carvers of all time.

Inukpuk's work is held in the permanent collections of many Art Galleries and Museums in Canada and the United States.

In 1951, Johnny's Hunter was acquired by TD Bank for their Permanent Collection of Inuit Art.

Hunter was possibly the first LARGE FIGURATIVE piece of Inuit Sculpture.

Inukpuk was lauded for his strong approach, careful workmanship and his detailed realistic style.

THE HUG portrays an Inuk boy bent forward so he can completely engulf a young seal in his loving arms.

Innocence and kindness abounds.

Johnny's The Hug is a rare find symbolizing friendship and compassion.
