As the years progressed, Nuna rarely carved arched back Dancing bears.
These bears are exceedingly difficult to balance.
The few carvers like Nuna who would attempt such a Bear, are pushed to the limit of their patience and physical ability.
Unfortunately, Nuna passed away in February 2026.
He was the most famous and talented carver of large Dancing Bears in the world.
He was one of Canada's ELITE MASTER CARVERS.
There are very talented Bear Carvers in the ranks, but Nuna leaves large shoes to fill.
Now, you will only find Nuna Parr bears in a few Inuit galleries.
Once these few bears are "adopted" you will only be able to find a Nuna bear at Auction.
And they will be few and far between.
