** Palaya Qiatsuq SIGNATURE Owl Carving

Large round inlaid eyes, big flat feet and a beak that runs from forehead to chin, Palaya's Owls are charming in their innocence

Qiatsuq's owls are the "Teddy Bears" of Inuit carving.

Like all Teddy Bears, we want to pick up this piece and cuddle it.

In that primal act, we offer the Owl comfort and protection and in the same moment, we also comfort ourselves.

In a split second, we are a child again!

Evergreen is a Dancing Owl.

He is balancing on one large foot.

But Palaya adds whimsy to Evergreen by turning his elevated foot inward, like a puppy playing Shake a Paw.

These large flat feet are the complete opposite of the typical Raptor foot with their menacing curved claws.

Qiatsuq is at the top of the list of Inuit carvers who focus on Owls.

His choice of colour is always perfect for each bird's personality.

Each sculpture is lovingly and meticulously detailed.

The inlaid eyes are fashioned from caribou antler.

They contrast so beautifully against the stone, immediately directing the viewer to the Owl's face.

Evergreen waits for his new home.

Is it yours?
