**Manasie Akpaliapik SIGNATURE Owl with Inlay Eyes
Masterpiece Carving! Museum quality Sculpture!
Provenance (April 5th, 2019): Manasie purchased a block of gorgeous white alabaster from which he carved this SIGNATURE Owl at my request. The alabaster that Manasie uses is like no other. The white is a warm rich hue. In October 2018, Manasie confided to me that his inlay eye technique has changed to that the border of the eye is now black! Manasie is known for his perfect inlay eyes and realistic talons.
Rarely does Manasie carve small owls (8" length) like this beauty.
Pure Innocence is carved with the same alabaster he uses for his larger Owls.
He has all the same SIGNATURE features of a Manasie owl.
Big yellow inlay eyes now bordered in black.
Perfect sharp black talons that appear ready to grasp his dinner or shred his enemy.
Pure is perched in a slightly hunched position, ready to lift off at the slightest provocation.
The warm white alabaster is serene.
This enchanting owl is an opportunity to own one of Manasie's enchanting owls but at a lower price point.
All of Manasie's Owls are investment pieces.
Manasie is one of a few Elite Master Inuit Carvers in Canada.
The Canadian Government has commissioned many pieces with Manasie some of which reside in the National Art Museum in Ottawa.
Pure Innocence will sit proudly in your collection, elevating it to a new level of tradition.
