MASTERPIECE CARVING & INVESTMENT PIECE
Provenance March 2026: This last Nuna Parr Masterpiece Carving, spent decades as the Showpiece of the Coop. Never Apart is one of Nuna's finest pieces and has a had a significant presence at the WAG Museum in Winnipeg and the Coop.
Never Apart was part of the Coop's Permanent Collection, but the director felt it should now be available to the public.
He commissioned this Magnificent Nuna Parr (1946-2026) Sculpture to our Gallery.
NEVER APART is one of those rare pieces that enchants the viewer forever.
Depending on the light, the colour of the stone changes from a deep turquoise/black to a dark taupe.
Exquisite!
The faces of the bear and the walrus are without a doubt, the best you will ever see.
Nuna Parr is embedded in Canadian history as one of the Top Inuit Carvers of modern time.
His passing marks a Milestone in the art of the World.
We have lost a Leader in the Inuit community and a man whose artistic talent was unsurpassed.
There are several Inuit Bear Carvers who have entered the category of Master carvers in the last decade.
Their work is Inspirational and Breathtaking.
Many of them were motivated by Nuna's carvings.
But Nuna is Nuna and we are saddened by the loss of this Icon.
NEVER APART speaks for itself.
This is a piece that holds the history of a great man and artist.
Nuna has signed this bear and it comes with the Certificate Tag of Authenticity.
