TALES FROM THE DEEP is a SIGNATURE carving by Esau Kripanik.

Exquisite in its embroidery of a frolicking narwhal and seal, Tales is uniquely presented in a style that is both modern and traditional.

Esau is one of those rare carvers who can bring movement to his sculptures.

I fully expect Tales to begin moving his fluke (vertical tail fin ) up and down like a paddle propelling himself forward in the ocean.

Humpback whales will show their flukes before diving.

This is a way to descend steeply in the water and is the way a whale shows its unique markings to other whales.

I'd say this whale's markings would shock the members of his whale pod!!!!
