Magnificent Movement!

Bumpkin is a happy go lucky Dancing bear that can balance on either of his feet.

This posture is known as a Two way Dancing bear.

A bear that can balance on both feet or both front paws is known as a Four way Dancing bear.

It takes a very skilled and experienced artist to Artists who can carve these bears because of the difficulty balancing the piece.

I love Bumpkin's Winnie the Pooh body habitus.

And the colour of the stone is especially exquisite.
