Leave it to Pits to up the ante with  this heart warming Ptarmigan!

When was the last time you saw an Inuit bird carving holding a piece of "grass" in its beak?

Having a Snack is relaxed but alert as she takes a rest and observes life around her.

In a second, she has gone!

The mustard yellow is stunning and with the added dappled green colour, the stone has become the superstar of this lovely sculpture.

The Rock Ptarmigan with its feathered feet, is the official bird for the Canadian territory of Nunavut.
