Mini Masterpiece Carving!
Many collectors are drawn to miniatures.
Dolls, ornaments, antique toys, and sculptures: the smaller the better.
Some psychologists think miniatures take us back to our childhood when for most people, we were innocent, safe and happy.
This endearing diving bear by Mosesee Pootoogook (one of my favourite bear artists) is only three inches tall!!!
It takes a higher level of talent to carve a miniature because the piece must have the same detail and realism as the larger carvings.
I love Bluesy's physical prowess as he dives and dances across the room.
His glee fills the room!
I have taken the liberty of placing Bluesy with his lady friend miniature, Grace.
They are the sweetest couple.
