This muskox is one of the top three pieces to enter our gallery this year. The size is deliberately large and heavy, the texture and lines are masterfully carved, and the coloration of the stone is done in a gorgeous copper hue which radiates its surroundings. The subtle movements and detail of this muskox make this a premium world class carving that will appreciate in value tremendously over the years.

When I saw this piece for the first time, my jaw dropped. Kellypalik decided to try something new. His owls are some of the absolute best in the inuit art medium. With that, this is the first series of muskox he's ever launched, and wow, it is absolutely sensational.

The grooves in the stone, the texture, and the tilted head bring a depth I rarely ever see in Muskox carvings. The smooth facial expressions contrasting with the rugged torso give this piece an intensity that warrants it to be in a museum.

One day when Kellyapik is old and grey, beautiful carvings like this will be worth so much more.
