Size: 13" high, 11" wide. Very heavy, weights 28 lbs.

Stone: serpentine (beautiful very dark brown, looks almost black)

Kellypalik Qimirpik is famous for his muskox sculptures, this dancing muskox is one of the better ones, it has a lot of movement and carved out of gorgeous dark brown stone.

Comes with an Igloo Tag (certified of authenticity), also signed by the artist on the bottom.

 

Kellypalik Qimirpik (1948 - )

Kellypalik has been exhibiting since the mid-1970s and was included in the 1989 “Masters of the Arctic: An Exhibition of Contemporary Inuit Masterworks,” which toured for more than a decade. He shows widely nationally and internationally and has had a number of solo exhibitions.*
