Inuit art: Dancing Bear
Inuit Artist: Peter Parr
Size: about 14" tall, 5" wide, 5" deep. Weight: 14 lbs
Community: Caper Dorset, NU
Stone: Serpentine (very unusual and rare light green with yellow tint)
Spectacular dancing bear by the acclaimed Inuit artist late Peter Parr (son of Nuna Parr) from Cape Dorset.
One of the last large bears by him, possibly the last one.
What makes this sculpture very unique is its colour (looks even better in real that on the pictures), it's very light green with a slight yellow tint to it. Beautiful!
This is a really beautiful carving, and will be a center piece of your collection.
