Parr's Love of the animal shines through, both in his art and his words. Rather than carving realistic replicas of bears, this artist chooses to capture the animal's essence, its "bearness", in a more streamlined form. Parr’s bears almost always stride or 'dance' on thier legs, their limbs seemingly truncated or pulled close to the body.

This compression of form releases animal-and sculptural-energy which bequeath playful personality and pungent character. The movements are vocal not only in terms of playfulness, but also innocence.

This is part of a series of four bears completed by the late Peter Parr in 2010. They are the last bears available by this master artist.

This is a spectacular walking bear finished with an electrifying apple green stone. It was done by the acclaimed Inuit artist late Peter Parr (son of Nuna Parr) from Cape Dorset. Furthermore, is a rarity since these are the very last bears from Parr's legacy.

This is one of the last bears by him, possibly the last one.

Here is the tragic story that occurred with the late Peter Parr. CBC - Peter Parr.

The sizzling green stone is what immediately attracted me to this piece. I have always been drawn to carvings done in this specific colour as it illuminates its entire surroundings and your audience will immediately take notice when entering the room.

The overall composition is very dynamic and lively. It is polished to perfection with a high gloss effect as well as immaculate and crisp proportions. This is as nice as they come for walking bears as it is a classic Peter Parr bear.

It it carved beautifully and stands with much grace.

It comes with an Igloo Tag (Certified of Authenticity), signed on the bottom both.

This is a really beautiful carving, and will be a centrepiece of your collection.
