The rippling visage of the black stone make this one of the nicest loons I have ever seen by Ningeosiak. Its intensity is sublime to the effervescent glow of luminosity.

Ning Ashoona is the only active female carver from Cape Dorset.

Loons are her signature carvings.

The sculpture is signed by the artist, comes with igloo tag.

Ningeosiak Ashoona (1979 - )

Influenced by her father Kaka Ashoona, Ningeosiak started to carve around 1988. Her mother is Mayoreak Ashoona.
