This is a very large Inukshuk in a series of pieces made recently by Qavavau Shaa. It is a beautiful classic Inukshuk from Cape Dorset.

This gorgeous Inukshuk has beautiful proportions and made from a beautiful serpentine stone.

Qavavau Shaa (1993 - )
Qavavau comes from a family of renowned Cape Dorset carvers. He is the youngest artist in his family. He started carving at the age of 12 or 13, he learned by watching his grandfather.
His grandfather is Agangayuk Shaa. Pudlalik Shaa and Alariaq Shaa are sons of Agangayuk Shaa. Qavavau is a son of Pudlalik. 
Qavavau enjoys carving inukshuk sculptures as well as bears.
