This is an outstanding graceful whale done in a brownish green serpentine stone.
The size is large, and the detail is outstanding.
What strikes me the most about this piece are the beautiful curves and the detail put into the whales gills. I have never seen a whale done this well for Inuit art.
The whale is immaculately well proportioned within the lifelike dimensions of a real whale.
Unbelievably beautiful grainy copper green stone (serpentine), polished to a mirror shine.
