This is a spectacular two way bear (dancing & walking) by the acclaimed Inuit artist late Peter Parr (son of Nuna Parr) from Cape Dorset.
One of the last dancing bears by him, possibly the last one.
Here is the tragic story that occurred with the late Peter Parr. CBC - Peter Parr.
The overall composition is very dynamic and lively. It is polished to perfection with a high gloss effect as well as immaculate and crisp proportions. This is as nice as they come for dancing bears as it is a classic Peter Parr bear.
It it carved beautifully and stands with much grace.
This is a really beautiful carving, and will be a centrepiece of your collection.
