PLEASE NOTE** THESE ARE THE LAST AVAILABLE NOO ATSIAQ BEARS SELLING NEW ON THE MARKET TODAY
Recently, I was able to acquire the last remaining new Noo Atsiaq bears that are left today on the market. i had to salvage all of my resources and networks in order to acquire them in time for the holiday season. After receiving them I must say, I am in complete admiration of Noo Atsiaqs talents and can see why he has garnished the many accolades and achievements he has for his bears. In short, he was a master of his craft and is sadly missed by the art world.
This is a spectacular darkish stone walking bear done in a gorgeous finish that reflects to a mirror shine. It was made by the acclaimed Inuit artist Noo Atsiaq. This masterpiece was acquired directly from his hands in Cape Dorset (arctic Canada). This stunning Inuit carving comes with an Igloo Tag (Certified of Authenticity).
The sculpture is made out of Cape Dorset stone serpentine. The carving is completely perfect, brand new! The sculpture is signed by the artist.
What really strikes me about Noo Atsiaq's work are that his dancing and walking bears seem to almost want to float into weightlessness on their own. They are so elegantly and gracefully carved. His contours and edges are smooth and rounded to such a finite detail that it allows the carving to achieve a certain poise, disposition and grace unlike any other dancing bears out there. This is why he is considered one of the most talented artists alive for dancing bears.
This piece is a perfect walking bear. A typical example of why Noo is so talented. The stone he uses is of darkened nature. It contrasts nicely to its surrounding which add a touch of style and sophistication. The shape and contours are equally dramatic and radiate a serious and poignant disposition. The voluptuousness and curvatures of the piece really set this bear apart from other walking bears I have seen. This of course is what makes Noo such a well known artist and soon to be established as one of the most famous Inuit artists in the world.
