This  is an extremely rare eagle by one of Canada's world renowned Inuit artists - Pits Qimirpik.

Pits has had numerous prize-winning pieces but he is well known for his birds, especially his owls and eagles.  His carvings can be found in Canada's National Art Gallery in Ottawa. My clients love Pits' sculptures and understand their exalted place in Inuit art.

Like all of Pits' birds, this spectacular piece flows from tip to toe.

The lines and proportions are immaculate. The polish and color are distinguished and breathtaking.  Pits' carvings are meticulous and consistent in their execution.

I love the brilliant almost neon yellow green stone of the fish and the rock. The contrast against the dark eagle is eye popping! Pits is a master at manipulating colours. It has become one of his signature moves.

I know when I acquire one of his birds, that it will be perfectly honed and always inspirational in its detailing and craftsmanship.

This carving is brand new and in perfect condition.

Pits' eagles are not as common as his owls.  This one is particularly  beguiling.
