Masterpiece Carving! Magnificent Movement!

The finish on this spectacular walrus carving is like starlight reflecting off the snow.

Can you imagine our walrus swimming through the frigid water of the Arctic Ocean?

We usually think of walruses basking on an ice floe.  They are so large and ungainly in appearance that we don't usually visualize their physical prowess in the water.

Saggiak has chosen a unique posture in which to portray Toothy.

Toothy is stretched out to full length so the viewer can now appreciate the creature's body habitus.

Saggiak has carved a sleekness into the Walrus that is not appreciated when the mammal is sitting or lying outside the water.

The stone has a creamy colour that is not common to most of the white stone of the Arctic.

This colour is perhaps the most stunning feature of this majestic carving.

Saggiak has also chosen to colour the tusks black.  This contrast between the black tusks and the white walrus is magnificent.

What a handsome and intriguing addition to your collection this walrus would be.
