Masterpiece Carving! Museum quality Sculpture!

Every one of Pits' owls are exceptional in their execution.

In my thirteen years as a curator of this gallery, never once have I seen a Pits' carving that has been "off" or mediocre.

This fine fellow has all the exquisite features of Pits' Signature Owls.

These features include the open hooked beak, the tiny separate tongue perfectly placed in the open mouth and the eyes that are carved in situ but simulate inset eyes.

Other requisite features are the sturdy legs and sturdier claws.  I marvel at how Pits distresses the marble into a white decorative accent that circles the eyes and defines the legs giving the impression that the owl is wearing pantaloons.

And finally, Pits is a magician when it comes to finding the perfect colour of stone for each bird.

I have seen Pits use stone that contains lilac coloured veins.  I have never seen any other artist use these stunning colours.

This is an endearing owl carved by Canada's most world renowned owl artist- Pits Qimirpik.

With time, you will find yourself with more than one Pits' sculpture in your collection.
