Masterpiece Carving! Museum quality Sculpture!

I have noticed that certain Inuit Master Carvers often present their walrus sculptures with glorious rippled folds of soft tissue.

World renowned carver Jimmy Iqaluq loves to use a deep medium green colour stone for his rippled walruses.  He also likes to create a deep red coloured eye for his carvings.

Every Jaco sculpture is a Masterpiece.

Ripped is large and audacious.

Look at the photograph that focuses on the golden brown colour that paints the left underside of the body.

Unbelievably beautiful.

The stone is so deep and rich. The ripples, the detail, the posture, and the movement are so fluid.

I have seen many memorable walrus carvings over the years but Jaco always adds a unique perspective to his sculptures.

He is a modernist with a touch of minimalism.

You must have a Jaco sculpture in your collection.
