Museum quality piece!

OK... Totally unprofessional of me... but I just couldn't resist. This is our cat Mittens (NOT FOR SALE!). In case you need to know...Scottish Fold. Cutest cats ever.
This particular eagle was done in a very original one of a kind beautiful blotched green colour! The best colour I've seen in eagles by Pits. The stone he used is not foreign to Kimmurut and was mined at his campsite outside the region. It will be the only color you will ever see.
The carving itself is classic Pitseolak Qimirpik carving, done with precision and exact proportions. All of his works like this eagle are considered masterpieces and will appreciate significantly in coming years. The eagle is at a 12 degree angle and holding a char fish which is done in an apple green stone. The combinations of colorations really make this an illuminating piece.

Extremely rare eagle by Canada's most world renowned Inuit artists - Pitseolak (Pits) Qimirpik from Kimmirut. Pits Qimirpik has numerous prize winning pieces on an international scale. All of his birds (he is also famous for owls) sell for extremely high prices. His works can be found in Canada's national art collection in Ottawa.

To give a brief overview of this sculpture, this spectacular piece flows from tip to toe. The lines and proportions are immaculate. The polish and color are distinguished and breathtaking. It is these features that make Pitseolak the most famous Inuit artist on the planet. His owls and eagles are collected in Ottawa's national museum of fine arts. He is among the 3 elite Inuit artists in Canada and has exhibitions that have toured all over the world. His birds are valued very highly.

This carving is in perfect condition, brand new. No chips, cracks, scratches or any other defects. 100% mint condition!

The carving is signed on the bottom and comes with an igloo tag.
