Magnificent Movement!  Museum quality Carving!

Derrald Taylor loves his Orcas.

They are high on the list of client favourites in the gallery.

But, Derrald particularily excels with his Mother and calf Orcas.

In this magical sculpture, the Mother is breaching the ocean while the young calf is darting along just in front of his mother.

His youthful exuberance is palpable.

The two Orcas are swimming around a beautiful pale green rock formation which  nicely shows off the glorious and dramatic colours of the whales.

The jewel green and copper colour of the calf heightens the traditional dramatic black and white colour of the mother.

This tension creates energy and movement between the two Orcas.

I love the movements of these whales.

It is intense and dramatic

Taylor’s sculptures have toured worldwide.

They are in countless publications, Inuit art journals, exhibitions, and museums.

This Orca and her calf would be a powerful yet elegant addition to your collection.
