Johnysa's Canada geese are the BEST in the industry.
In the past 13 years, I have had only two Mathewsie carvings that were not Canada geese.
This carving could easily be mistaken for the real goose.
Every Canadian collector should have this incredible sculpture in their collection.
1. These are Dancing birds which means they are balancing on one foot. This requires great skill and experience on the part of the carver. I think that any Dancing sculpture is a small miracle.
2. Johnysa carves pride, delight and pure exuberance into his birds. Each one has a spirited personality that will fill you with joy.
3. If you are a patriotic Canadian this is a Canadian piece of art that is magnificent and will fill you with pride. This is not a cartoon of a beaver on a t shirt. "Not that there is anything wrong with that" - Jerry Seinfeld
Mathewsie understands Realism. Observe the long neck, the iconic goose head with the black and white bands, the elevated wings, the webbed dancing feet and the spread tail feathers. Absolutely spectacular. Everything about this piece is perfect.
The torquoise green stone is exquisite.
Do you know a Canadian who would love this piece?
