The tenuous detailing and visages of the Arctic mammal have rendered Esau Kripanik's craft as a distinctive, yet prominent mainstay for galleries. The fastidious proportions and exquisite beauty of his oeuvres have displayed Kripanik's depiction of Northern wildlife perfectly. His oeuvres are to be celebrated among the avant-garde circles of Inuit art. Kripanik's solo works and publications have been adopted and praised worldwide.

This carving is among the finest three pieces the gallery has received so far this year. The sculpture's size, uniqueness, and craftsmanship make it one of our most endearing pieces.

Kripanik is my personal favourite artist. His pieces are so unique compared to other carvers. I love the stone he carves with and his signature designs he puts on the surfaces.

Its sheer beauty will resonate throughout any room it is exhibited in and your audience is sure to be completely captivated by it.

Kripanik himself is from a very remote Inuit community called Igloolik. Artists in Igloolik have a very unique style. They focus on creating sculptures that depict true realism. The stone is rarely polished and the artists prefer a dry flat finish.

Esau Kripanik is one of the top Inuit artists in the world for his caribou and bear sculptures. This particular bear is personally our favourite as it is the most beautiful we've come across in a long time.
